Little Sailors (on the Toms River)

Capture the thrill and focus of your junior sailor as they embark on their nautical journey! This photography campaign documents the essential moments of learning sailing fundamentals on the water, from mastering knots to reading the wind and smiling the whole time. We aim to create lasting memories of their dedication to learning and growth on the water, perfect for cherishing these early-life experiences.

The little moments you miss...

We will be on the water with a great vantage point to capture the little things that sailors do when learning how to sail. Our photography gear allows us to focus on one subject even at a distance.

02

Personalized review of your sailor...

Shortly after your sailor is photographed, we will schedule a time for you to review the images at our photography studio in Toms River.  You will treated to a custom slideshow and have the ability to purchase artwork of your sailor. This is the time when you will select what images you would like displayed at the end of the season gallery show.

Gallery show and celebration...

At the end of the season (hopefully awards night), we will display all the artwork from the project. You will get to see any artwork that you purchased, as well as all the other sailors from your club who participate.

Sign up to participate.

We require that all parents fill out a form to participate in this project. The information we collect will help identify who the sailors are on the day that we photograph at your program. After your submission, we will send an email invite to the private Facebook group where you can see the schedule, day of posts and videos, and all communication for the project.

Meet the Photogrpaher

Adam Redding

I have been a photographer for the past 14 years, resident of the Toms River area for the past 30 years, and member of the Beachwood Yacht Club. I did not grow up on the water, but rather sat on the T-dock with a fishing pole, envious of all the fun the brightly colored boats were having on the water.  They had freedom to go where they wanted, easily being able to travel from town to town without the restrictions of a bike, and did I mention how much fun they were having? This project is a journalistic creation of the candid moments that parents miss while at work, or trapped on land back at the club. These moments are too precious to miss, that is why I am offering this project this (and hopefully many future) summers.
